What to see in Copenhagen

I was in Copenhagen for the first time in June to visit a friend. I enjoyed Copenhagen very much and everyone living in Denmark should go to Copenhagen at least once. Copenhagen is in my heart. From the first moment I fell in love with Copenhagen.

What to visit in Copenhagen:

  • Christiania – an autonomous area of hippies and anarchists
  • Tivoli – amusement park
  • Frederik’s Church – a beautiful church reminiscent of the Catholic Cathedral of St. Peter in the Vatican or St. Paul in London
  • Glyptotek – gallery
  • National Museum of Denmark
  • Designmuseum Denmark – design museum
  • Botanical Garden – botanical garden
  • Frederiksberg Gardens – gardens where you can relax in the summer

What to see in Copenhagen:

  • Statue of Little Mermaid
  • Nyhavn – beautiful colorful waterfront
  • Amalienborg – historical center with the royal palace
  • Rosenborg Castle – Renaissance palace and gardens
  • Christiansborg Palace
  • City Hall Square – Town Hall
  • Opera House
  • Kastellet
  • Superkilen – park with stripes on the ground

What to experience in Copenhagen:

  • Cycling
  • Walk to Nyhavn
  • Concert in Christiania
  • Shopping in the markets in Torvehallerne
  • Sunbathing at the Amager Strandpark
  • Evening walk by the lakes
