What to see in Lisbon

I was in Portugal two years ago, but I’m looking at photos from Portugal. I love Portugal and I would very much like to come back to enjoy the atmosphere of Lisbon and the surrounding towns.

What to visit in Lisbon:

  • Hieronymit Monastery – Belem Monastery
  • Castelo de S. Jorge – castle and royal residence on a hill with archaeological museum and ruins
  • Santa Justa Lift – lift from 1900
  • Sintra – is a UNESCO World Heritage Site typical of the Paláco Nacional de Pena
  • MAAT – Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology
  • Museu do Design – exhibition of furniture and product design from 1930 to the present

What to see in Lisbon:

  • Belém Tower – is a fortified tower on a small island
  • Rossio – main square
  • National Sanctuary of Christ the King – Lisbon statue of Christ
  • Lisbon Cathedral – beautiful cathedral in Lisbon
  • Ponte 25 de Abril – a bridge that resembles a bridge from San Francisco
  • National Pantheon – 16th century church
  • Arco do Triunfo da Rua Augusta – Arc de Triomphe in Lisbon
  • Cabo da Roca – the westernmost point of the European mainland
  • Vasco de Gama Bridge – the longest bridge in Europe

What to experience in Lisbon:

  • Ride in the yellow tram
  • Enjoying the evening with a drink by the sea
  • Walk in Alfama
  • Atmosphere at LX Factory
